Sydney Racing Carnival: Betting Odds & Details
The Sydney Racing Carnival is just weeks away and punters are already looking at the betting market in order to call winning bets. The Big Six bet requires you to pick the six winners of the consecutive races of the Big Six race card to win big prizes. Also, you can claim a bet refund if your race horse came in at second. You can claim a refund of your bet by placing either a Win or an Each Way bet and if your choice placed second behind the starting price favourite, you can claim a refund of as much as $100. The bet refund is only applicable for bets that were placed through the SportsBet website and the mobile phone version of Sportsbet.
A punter can only claim one refund per race given that they placed it on a win or an each way bet. The first bet will be the one considered for a refund and multi-bet wagers are not allowed for the offer. If there are two favourite horses with identical starting prices, the second place refund is applicable for the thoroughbred with the lowest saddle cloth number.
If a dead heat for first place happens and one of the horses involved is the Starting Price favourite, the refund will not be awarded. If there is a dead heat for second place, the refund stays and any of the two thoroughbreds in second place will be your ticket to a refund. The refund will be placed on the SportsBet member’s account as a different transaction and a confirmation email will be sent.
For the 2011 Newmarket Handicap, Sportsbet has a special early market bet for those who think that Black Caviar will not win the race. Sportsbet offers double betting odds on early market bets to give punters a chance to win bigger prizes.
