About the Casino Races:
Located in Summerland Way which is located at the northern part of New South Wales, the Casino horse racing track is part of the Northern Rivers Racing Circuit. It is the beef of horse racing in Casino which is know for its delicious beef.
The first race meeting at the Casino race course was conducted in 1854 and it has been managed and maintained by the council of Casino since 1994. The club was also the first one to conduct channel meetings for TAB/SKY.
They conduct 13 horse racing meeting per year and each meeting has five races. The most notable of these races is the ANZDL Beef Week Cup that is conducted every May-June and the Carlton Casino Gold Cup in August.
The Casino race course is good for sprint horses for the usual distances of the races that are conducted here are 1000 metres, 1200 metres, 1400 meters and 1900. Races here are staged counterclockwise. Also, the 2010 Casino Beef Week Cup will be held on May 28 at 12 noon at the Casino Racecourse.
This horse race is part of the festivities that are lined up for Beef Week. Other events on the 28th of May are Beef Week Cup Greyhound Races at Queen Elizabeth Park, the Aranyani Bison Feeding Open Day, The Cow Pat Lotto and the unveiling of the Floral Art Display at St. Marks Church.
