Hawk Island Lumps 61kg to Victory

It was another victory for the superior mudrunners with Hawk Island taking out the Listed JRA Plate (2000m) at Randwick last weekend.
The Chris Waller trained 6YO settled at the back of the field before rounding them up while lumping the 61 kgs to victory from Galizani and Vintedge.
Hawk Island goes around in the Sydney Cup next Saturday so if it’s another rain affected track you can rest assured that he will have no problem getting through it or indeed getting the Sydney Cup trip of 3200m.
It was the 10th win from 34 starts for Hawk Island who took his career earnings to over $660,000.
