The Oakleigh Plate
The Group 1 Oakleigh Plate is an 1100-metre open handicap race which happens every February at the Caulfield races. As part of the Melbourne Autumn Racing Carnival, the 2011 Oakleigh Plate has a current prize purse of $350,000. This race is the top handicap event of the Caulfield autumn racing carnival and it attracts the best sprinters in the state.
