With Doubtful Jack and About Ready fighting for the lead at the 400 metre mark, Love Conquers All and jockey Jim Cassidy was off the pace and riding under pressure.
Jockey Luke Nolen pushed Doubtful Jack to impressive heights as he lived up to pre-race betting expectations by winning the Bobbie Lewis Quality over Beltrois by 3 ¼ lengths. With a run at the Group 1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes locked in, Doubtful Jack and his team will set their eyes on the 1600-metre, Group 1 Toorak Handicap in October if he scores an impressive run at the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes. Doubtful Jack has won seven of his 13 career starts and has won a career prize money total of about $500,000.
