Gauci Shooting for Back to Back Wins in Monash
Victorian hoop Darren Gauci is shooting for back to back wins in the Monash Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield races today.
The 43-year-old jockey won the same race last year when he piloted Tesbury Jack to victory.
This year he is aboard the Peter Morgan trained speed machine I Am Invincible.
The horse was flying in Adelaide last preparation and finishing a very competitive second to Takeover Target in the Group 1 Goodwood before being tipped out for a short spell.
Morgan spoke on radio927 early in the week and he said he didn’t fear any of the horses that were nominated for the race.
I agree, he should jump straight to the front and get the chocolates against this lot.
